Illuminating Engineering Society Recognizes Nine Eaton LED Products for Technical Achievement

Power management company Eaton today announced that the Illuminating Engineering Society (IES) Progress Committee has recognized nine of its light-emitting diode (LED) luminaires from its Cooper Lighting Division for inclusion in the 2014 IES Progress Report. The Progress Report showcases products that provide significant technical advancement in the art and science of lighting.

“Our strong showing in this prestigious report is evidence of our industry leadership, continuing to supply customers with innovative and energy-efficient solutions for a broad range of markets and applications,” said Mark Eubanks, president of Eaton’s Cooper Lighting Division.

All the products submitted for evaluation in the report undergo a rigorous assessment process and are judged based on their unique qualities, optical performance, efficiency, innovative features and overall significance to the lighting industry. Eaton’s nine recognized products include indoor and outdoor LED lighting solutions designed for commercial, industrial, institutional and residential environments.

The IES Progress Committee is mandated to keep in touch with developments in the art and science of lighting throughout the world and provides a yearly review of achievements. The Progress Report includes important new products, research, publications and design tools from the past year.

The 2014 IES Progress Report will be presented at the IES Annual Conference in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, on November 3, 2014, and at local IES section meetings throughout the coming year. A summary of the Report will be published in the January 2015 issue of Lighting Design + Application (LD+A).
