Nichia and Qwestland Partner to Further Develop the Horticulture LED Market

Japanese LED manufacturer Nichia Corporation has announced to start cooperative researches and experiments with Qwestland International, a Dutch horticulture solution provider. The goal of their partnership is to further explore the potential of the horticulture LED market.

The Netherlands is a country which owns cutting-edge technologies in the field of greenhouse development and has accumulated knowledge towards environmental control for plant growth. Through the collaboration with Qwestland, Nichia plans to benefit from this knowledge base and continues to develop unique spectrums with its phosphor technology. The phosphor technology has been one of Nichia’s core competencies. Additionally, Nichia hopes the research activities will enable new sustainable lighting for cultivation to improve nutrition worldwide.
