TSLC Introduces UVC LED Product Lines Targeting Sterilizing Applications

TSLC Corporation, a subsidiary of SemiLEDs, announced the launch of its UVC LED product lines which include high power and high density LED chips and chip packages for the growing market of sterilization.

To improve the efficiency of UVC LED, TSLC’s new product series uses a high refractive index material which is UVC transmissible to increase the light extraction by about 35%. TSLC’s UVC series consists of LED packages of variable footprints and power consumption. The product lineup includes single, four- and ten -chip packages. TSLC also provides design and manufacturing services of customized UVC LED module to meet the increasing demand in UVC light sources.

According to the report from LEDinside, titled “2018 UV LED Application Market- Curing, Medical and Sterilization,” the UV LED market value was projected to reach US$ 1.224 billion in 2022. One of the growing momentums of the market is from sterilizing applications including surface sterilization, static water sterilization, and flowing water sterilization.
