Major display companies Samsung, LG, and Hisense have recently unveiled their latest Micro LED TVs, transparent displays, and flexible displays.
Samsung Showcases 65-inch Micro LED TV
According to foreign media, Samsung showcased its 65-inch Micro LED TV at the International Consumer Electronics Fair (IFA; Internationale Funkausstellung Berlin) in Berlin, Germany. While the media predicts the TV will feature 4K resolution, Samsung disclosed minimal additional product information during the event.

Samsung’s Micro LED TV is composed of individually controlled micron-sized LEDs that emit colored light directly. Compared to conventional LCD technology, it does not require backlight sources and color filters. Compared to OLED technology, it does not suffer from screen burn-ins and offers brighter, more vivid colors and higher brightness.
Samsung has already rolled out Micro LED TVs in multiple countries worldwide. In the Chinese market, the TV maker has released 76-inch, 89-inch, 101-inch, 110-inch, and 114-inch models, priced at approximately 650,000, 750,000, 900,000, 1,050,000, and 1,250,000 CNY, respectively.
Taking the 114-inch model as an example, it features a resolution of 4968 x 2808 and a peak brightness of 2000 nits. Additionally, the TV’s image processing engine comes with a Micro AI processor and features Micro high dynamic range imaging, HDR10+ adaptive and gaming certifications, and AI image enhancement functions.
Regarding the 65-inch Micro LED TV showcased by Samsung during the event, foreign media predicts that due to its high cost, this model will not be launched in the near term. Notably, in July this year, South Korean media reported that Samsung had already initiated a cost-reduction project for Micro LED TVs, with the Visual Display (VD) division stating it would work with partners to drive cost innovation for Micro LED TVs.
Hisense Presents Micro LED TV and Transparent Display Applications
Similarly, at the IFA exhibition, Hisense showcased a 163-inch Micro LED TV powered by the Xinxin X Master chip to achieve 24 million micro-level pixel light control. This technology delivers deeper black effects and transparent bright color effects, and also features high energy efficiency and high resolution.

Hisense also debuted its transparent display, which is powered by micrometer-level Micro LED chips. This product boasts a transparency rate of over 60% and a wide viewing angle, with a pixel pitch reaching P0.69. The product also features touch functionality, providing a better interactive user experience. At the exhibition, the manufacturer demonstrated how a transparent Micro LED display, which played a video about the company’s Xinxin AI perception chip smoothly and clearly, can be used in high-end retail settings.

In addition to Micro LED displays, Hisense also showcased the world’s first “Designed for Xbox” laser smart mini projector, co-launched with well-known gaming brand Xbox, at the IFA event. Additionally, the company presented solutions and products across various fields, including smart cabins, smart homes, smart transportation, smart buildings, energy management, and automotive electronics.
LGD Exhibits Stretchable Micro LED Display
At the recent Seoul Fashion Week in South Korea, LG Display (LGD) exhibited a stretchable Micro LED display, integrating the screen into clothing and backpack designs. The screen measures 12 inches, with a resolution of 100 PPI, and an elongation rate of 20%, expanding to form a 14-inch full-color display with a 40-micron pixel pitch.

Notably, LGD had already showcased a 12-inch full-color stretchable Micro LED screen with a pixel density of 100 PPI and a 40μm pixel pitch last year. Reportedly, this screen is made using a highly elastic thin-film substrate, which is produced from a special silicone material typically used for making contact lenses. LGD claims that the stretchable Micro LED displays feature high flexibility, durability, and reliability, and they foresee rapid commercialization of such products in the future.
