TCL CSOT announced via its official WeChat account that Xiaomi officially launched its second mass-produced electric vehicle, the YU7, during the “Xiaomi Human-Car-Home Full Ecosystem Launch Event” held on June 26 at 7:00 p.m. The vehicle features panoramic curved projection displays, HyperVision, and a 16.1-inch central control display—both exclusively supplied by CSOT.
Specifically, CSOT customized an in-car display solution for YU7, which includes a 16.1-inch central control screen (developed in partnership with Desay SV) and three 11.98-inch displays called HyperVision (developed with Foryou Group).
CSOT provided the three 11.98-inch Mini LED panels required for HyperVision. Foryou Group offered PHUD (Projected Head-Up Display) imaging technology support for the system.
Foryou Group addressed the challenge of uniform light distribution over large projection areas using nanometer-grade optical coating technology, achieving consistent image quality across a 110° horizontal viewing angle. The company also implemented ambient light suppression technology to keep the glass reflectivity below 5%, while jointly optimizing the interactive architecture between the YU7’s horizon display and the floating central control touchscreen.
PHUD is a system that projects driving and navigation information directly into the driver’s line of sight. Compared to conventional HUD, PHUD places a blackened area at the bottom of the windshield to reduce optical reflection errors, improving image clarity and stability through projection-based rendering.
According to TrendForce’s 2024 Global Automotive LED Market—Lighting and Display Product Trends report, PHUD is characterized by intuitive visibility and superior image quality, enhancing both driving safety and comfort. The panoramic HUD system uses reflective display technology to present information.
