Luminoso Appoints Mike Brunnick as Global SVP of Sales

Luminoso, a leading text understanding software company with roots in the MIT Media Lab, is pleased to announce the appointment of Mike Brunnick to the position of Global SVP of Sales, where he will report directly to Catherine Havasi, CEO. In this new role, Brunnick will be responsible for global revenue and client development at Luminoso; importantly, he will also be charged with building new channel partner relationships that provide Luminoso access to new clients and incremental revenue opportunities.

Mike Brunnick has held key leadership positions over the last 30 years building high performance teams. Most recently, Brunnick served as Vice President of Sales and Customer Success at Socialware, where he led all revenue-generating activities for the emerging SaaS company. In two years, he increased annual revenue by more than 50% and total contract values by more than 200%, serving as a major driver for Socialware’s success and acquisition by Proofpoint. Before that, he held key leadership positions with Hewlett Packard and OpenText. Brunnick is currently the leader of the New England Chapter of VetsinTech.

"I am excited to join this leading, innovative company,” said Mike Brunnick, Global SVP of Sales. "Luminoso is pushing the boundaries of what is possible with interpreting unstructured customer feedback data. This deeper insight is enabling clients to move faster and with more confidence to address customer experience improvement opportunities. Winning in today's marketplace will be directly tied to delivering an outstanding customer experience. Luminoso is poised to directly address this need.”

"We are thrilled to have someone of Mike's caliber join our team,” said Catherine Havasi, Luminoso’s co-founder and CEO. “We have spent the past 10 years establishing a strong, proprietary base in natural language processing and artificial intelligence capabilities from our days at the MIT Media Lab to our current work at Luminoso. We are now positioned to expand our business and address the significant marketplace needs in this growing area. We are excited to have Mike bring these industry leading capabilities to our global client base as well as develop new channel partners."
