Diode LED Introduces Its Architectural-Grade LED Tape Light Portfolio

Diode LED, a manufacturer and wholesaler of LED lighting solutions for commercial and residential applications, announced that they have completed additions and upgrades to their LED tape light portfolio to feature improved color rendering capabilities.

As the market becomes more sophisticated, performance characteristics of LED light sources such as the color rendering index (CRI) have become increasingly important. CRI is a measurement of how accurately a light source renders colors of an object that it illuminates. The higher the CRI, the more even, accurate, richer, and deeper the spectrum of light is emitted. This move to higher CRI is in response to customer demand for high performance lighting for applications requiring a higher quality of light.

“The ability to deliver any combination of brightness, color temperature, form factor and now excellent color rendering, further expands the flexibility of our LED tape light,” said Diode LED Vice President of Marketing Jim Puchbauer. “This gives architects, specifiers, contractors and lighting professional’s unlimited options and makes finding the ‘right light’ easier than ever before.”

The newly announced AVENUE 24™ is an architectural-grade LED tape light that offers premium light output with superior color rendering of 90+ CRI. The Diode LED Tape light family also includes upgraded 80+ CRI versions of their bestselling FLUID VIEW™, BLAZE™, and DOUBLE BLAZE™. Along with the improvement in CRI was an expansion of the tape light correlated color temperature (CCT) options to include: 2000K, 2400K, 2700K, 3000K, 3500K, 4200K, 5000K and 6300K.

“Diode has always offered superior solutions. Their Tape Light products are still the only ones that have an ETL Listing that includes ‘field-cuttable’ as part of the listing,” said Alan Rose, President of the Lighting Management Group. “Now we can give designers and installers we work with even higher quality linear lighting solutions to create custom installations that will meet their design requirements and pass inspection.”
