GE Introduces Affordable LED Lamp for Consumer Market

Heralds phasing-out of incandescent bulbandrise ofLED market demand in China’s energy-saving lighting industry

GE Lighting
is pleased to introduce its new LED Snow cone A19, an affordable LED lamp tailored for the consumer market,to most countries in Asia by September and to Korea by October this year. Customized for home lighting, consumers have a choice of a 7W or 10W lamp which will deliver nearly the same light output as the incandescent 40W and 60W bulbs respectively. With this new energy-efficient LED lamp,GE lighting offers consumers high quality alternative luminaire at the on set of China’s phasing-out of incandescent bulbs and to meet the rise in LED market demand in the lighting industry.



 

Best Applications
As an ideal substitute for the incandescent bulb, GE’s new LED Snowcone A19 is the perfect choice to provide a comfortable and energy-efficient lighting environment especially for the home. There is no glare, and with a standard E27 base the lamps can be a direct replacement of incandescent bulbs. The LED Snowcone A19 lamp is also available in various CCT choices to create different lighting effects: 2700K, 3000K, and 6500K.

In addition to the home environment, the LED Snowcone A19 isappropriate for other applications such as hotels, restaurants, and retail shops.

Energy Savings and Longer Life
To help map China’senergy saving policy, GE intends to introduce more energy-efficient products and the LED Snowcone A19 is an important part of this strategy. Delivering nearly the same output as the incandescent 40W/60W bulb, the LED Snowcone A19 offers an 80% energy savings. Its 15000 hours lifetime compares more than favorably to the incandescent bulbs’ lifetime of 1000 hours. UV and IR radiation can also be avoided with the new LED lamp.
