LEDTEC ASIA 2012 Highlights III: Overview of European and Japanese Companies

A lot of major manufacturers from Europe, the United States and Japan also exhibit at Singapore Int’l LED/OLED Technology Show 2012 (LEDTEC ASIA 2012). Here is LEDinside’s observation on their products.

Philips Lighting has been in the Singaporean market for quite some time, supplying the market with high bay light products for industrial, commercial and residential uses.

Citizen

Japanese company Citizen is known for its strength in COB package, multi-chip package and COA package, which comply with Energy Star specifications.

The company indicates that they will launch new COB package products in 4Q12. Under the color temperature of 3000K, a 10W LED package can reach 1240lm, 80 of color rendering and a temperature of 65 degrees, which is more efficient than the current 10W/1006lm products.

Tridonic

European major company Tridonic exhibits its LED module and LED control. Together with their distributors, the company has achieved certain success in the Singaporean market.

Osram

European major maker Osram owns great capacity and a large production base in Southeast Asia, therefore, the company owns good amount of market share in the car lighting and public lighting areas in Singapore. The company also has its own distributor in Southeast Asia.

Konica Minolta

Japan major maker Konica Minolta is highly experienced in the optical testing equipment area. The company showcases its new optical testing and brightness and color temperature measuring equipment.

Stanley Electric

Japanese company Stanley Electric has been quite successful in the car lighting markets in Southeast Asia and India. Currently, the company aims to break into the lighting market. A number of car manufacturers adopt Stanley Electric’s products for their cars’lights.
