Lighting Japan 2013 Broadcast 3: Taiwanese manufacturers shine throughout the Japanese exposition, market acceptance of LED lighting products increases

Taiwanese manufacturers that set significant booths at Lighting Japan 2013 including Everlight, OPTOTECH, Genesis Photonics Inc., and Ledlink Optics, as well as exhibitors of the Taiwanese pavilion have all acquired numerous orders at this exposition.



Genesis Photonics Inc.
announced that they have acquired an order of 100,000 of their patent candle light bulbs. LED chips produced by the company are applied to these bulbs that share several features of incandescent light bulbs, and mass production is expected to take place in the second half of 2013. They launched a series of LED lighting products including patio lights, LED bulbs, and LED candle lights at this exposition.



Everlight displayed a huge poster at the exposition in order to promote their lighting products ,COB package, and LED package. Everlight believes that due to the slowdown of LED price decline, they may be able to raise the price of orders. They have acquired a certain amount of orders in the Japanese lighting market.

OPTOTECH introduced large LED displays as well as LED products for building lighting at the exposition. Other than stage light systems, they also launched LED light tubes and LED spot lights in the Japanese market.


Xcellent, the only Taiwanese manufacture in the LED lighting design exposition, launched designed panel light products with an acrylic emitted light guide structure and LED chips produced by OSRAM- OS. They also launched a series of inkable LED panel light custumized LED panel modelling light applicable to cross-industry partners, hotels, doorplates, and Japanese shops. These products are unique among numerous Japanese designed products.


 

In addition, Chairman of Epistar Dr. Biing-Jye Lee and general manager of TSMC Solid State Lighting, Ltd. Dr. Jacob Tarn have both attended this exposition. They are both positive towards the future of the LED lighting market.
