The HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair opened with 1,788 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions. The LED Lighting Zone has attracted 440 exhibitors offering a range of LED lighting products. Companies from Belize, the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, the United States and the United Kingdom are taking part in the zone.

HKTDC Hong Kong International Lighting Fair (Autumn Edition) will be held through 27-30 October in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This year the fair, will feature over 1, 700 exhibitors from 31 countries and regions. First-time exhibitors are from Hungry, Poland, New Zealand and Brazil.

The Urban Renewal Authority (URA) of Hong Kong will spend about HK$270million on green upgrades for Wan Chai's Lee Tung Street and Kwun Tong town center.
