Eco Depot, Inc has added the new high lumen output 125 Watt high bay LED fixture ICE PIPE to their avant-garde product line of commercial and industrial LED Lighting solutions. The company said that the new low cost ICE PIPE is designed to replace conventional 250 to 400 Watt metal halide lighting fixtures, provide a superior light output and consume 70-80% less electricity.

Brand Neue Corp. has announced the addition of the InteLEDgent(TM) Lighting Solutions division (“InteLEDgent”) to its offering of Brand Neue Innovations. The Chinese decorative lighting manufacturer Neo-Neon LED Lighting International Ltd. will open 2,000 LED lighting fixtures shops in three to five years throughout mainland China, which is estimated an investment of 500 million Chinese yuan (US$73 million). B.Y. Fan, the company’s chairman, noted that the company opened its first retail shop in Hong Kong early this year and will open a store in Taipei next year.

LED Price Trend in 1Q10 According to LEDinside's price trend report, LED supply and demand are fairly stable in the first quarter of 2010. There is a seasonal proce erosion of 2-5% across backlight applications. For LED lighting application, the QoQ price erosion of high power LED appeared to be more servere, over 10%, due to invantory adjustment.

Japan's Fujifilm Corp. plans to enter the market for LED lighting materials with a new kind of light diffusing film which is thinner and offers higher illumination intensity than products now available. The light diffusing film acts to spread out the light from the LED bulbs so they are not so bright. These diffusers are now typically made from acrylic resin materials which are milky in color and around 2mm thick. The thickness means they are hard to bend, and the milky color means that some of the light is wasted.
