Westfield Group recently launched a digital network of LED video displays starting with six of its prime shopping centers in Australia. The displays and content management system were designed and manufactured by Daktronics Inc. of Brookings, S.D.. In addition to being one of the largest deployments of indoor LED advertising screens in the world, it also marks a significant step in the growth of digital advertising on that continent.

Theatre Le Grand Rex, Paris, France, partnered with Daktronics Inc. of Brookings, S.D. (NASDAQ-DAKT) to light up the façade of its famous, historic building that was built in 1932. Daktronics manufactured and designed two vertical displays, featuring the latest LED video technology that replaced fixed banners, previously used for promotion. The displays are approximately 11.8 meters high by 2.7 meters wide (39 feet high by nine feet wide) with pixels on 23 millimeter spacing.

Wembley Stadium in London, was transformed into a National Football League venue for the third straight season on Oct. 25 for the NFL International Series game. For three seasons, Daktronics Inc. of Brookings, S.D. has worked with the NFL in a rental agreement that includes the setup and tear down of a mobile and modular integrated light emitting diode (LED) video and scoring system to help create an NFL experience within the United Kingdom’s most renowned soccer stadium.

Daktronics Inc of Brookings, S.D., announced that the National Basketball Association (NBA) has approved a test trial of Daktronics courtside light emitting diode (LED) scorer’s tables. Until recently the NBA had approved digital light processing (DLP®), but not LED, technology courtside.

Daktronics Inc. in conjunction with the Orlando Magic and the City of Orlando, announced yesterday that it will provide an integrated scoring, video and advertising display system for the new Amway Center scheduled to open in Orlando in the fall of 2010. Installation of the first displays of the multi-million dollar system will begin in early 2010.

Scarlet Knights fans this season are being treated to a state-of-the-art, high definition video display at Rutgers Stadium. Daktronics Inc. recently installed the new HD video display at Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. 

Rutgers is currently in the midst of a $102 million expansion of the stadium to increase its seating capacity to 56,000. The LED displays are part of that expansion. Last season, three Daktronics ribbon displays were installed along the fascia of the stadium.

Daktronics Inc. (Nasdaq-DAKT) announced that three major Saint Louis, Mo. events, including an All-Star Charity Concert featuring Sheryl Crow, will be broadcast on the most technologically advanced varieties of Daktronics giant high-resolution LED screens, ensuring each of the thousands of expected attendees catch a great view of the festivities.

Van Wagner Communications recently chose Daktronics Inc. to design and manufacture a new, light emitting diode (LED) display as a component of a spectacular new sign for its client, DB Climate Change Advisors, an institutional and alternatives climate change business of Deutsche Asset Management, a business division of Deutsche Bank AG. The curved LED display functions as the world's first scientifically valid, real-time carbon counter.

It’s reported that Daktronics Inc will design, manufacture and install full-color LED display technology throughout Rangers Ballpark in Arlington, home of the Texas Rangers.
