LEDforum Taipei 2011:
Industry Heavyweights to Tackle Discussion on Subversive Change Facing LED Upstream Technologies
Following the ban against incandescent light bulbs imposed by countries including America and Australia, the latest subsidy policy passed by South Korean plans to prohibit manufacturing and selling incandescent light bulb, in the hope of advancing the penetration rate of LED lighting to 60% by 2020. The global LED makers are expected to benefit from an upcoming demand surge.
The LED industry consists of a more extensive industrial chain, and the technology and fund characteristics of each segment differ vastly. For example, in regard to the upstream industry, including epilayer and chip manufacturers, due to high technology threshold and capital intensity, technologies have to continuously improve in a relatively speedy pace. The requirement of ground-breaking technology and advances are the inevitable issue constantly facing the upstream industry.
The sessions of the first day of LEDforum 2011 Taipei, a two-day seminar organized by LEDinside, will cover the LED upstream material, equipment, and epitaxy sectors. World’s leading equipment makers, such as European big-name companies Osram OS, KLA-Tencor, ULVAC, and MOCVD equipment makers Veeco and Aixtron, are invited to explain how LED equipment can contribute to LED quality enhancement and cost reduction. With respect to material and component, Taiwanese major manufacturers Epistar and FOREPI will provide detailed insights on the latest developments and future trends of LED applications in the lighting and backlight market.
LEDforum 2011 Taipei will help attendees get a firm grasp of the trend and opportunities of the market and gain a comprehensive perspective of the LED industry. Limited early bird tickets are available now. Register today!
