Industries involved in the fair include lighting, electrical engineering, architectural, and automated building. The focus of this year’s show is “Explore Technology for Life – the best energy is the energy not consumed.” The target is to find solutions to reduce energy consumption. Becoming a global brand is every lighting manufacturers dream

Manufacturers ambition to develop LED lighting was evident from the way stalls were set up at Light+Building this year. Companies splurged on marketing budgets by posting up advertisements everywhere at the show grounds including both indoor and outdoor.. Traditional lighting brands Philips, OSRAM Sylvania, and Toshiba bombarded visitors with advertisements. Samsung, CIVIL Lighting, and OPEL also followed suit, eager of making a name for themselves in the global market.

Differing from the manufactures within the exhibition hall, lighting brand iGuzzini set up advertisements next to the Frankfurt bus stop, which was very effective.
