The IoT has become a hot topic in the consumer electronics world. Many Taiwanese manufacturers are optimistic about the future of IoT devices and have already begun development of related applications. Responding to consumer demand, Marvell has simultaneously launched three wireless microcontroller solutions, including the MW300 microcontroller, MB300 Bluetooth microcontroller, MZ100 ZigBee microcontroller for their EX-Connect software platform. The platform provides easy-to-use software development kits (SDKs) and application programming interfaces (APIs). Developers are able to save months of software development efforts through the use of IoT platform solution.
Zigbee is an area to watch as it is already used by the four largest international smart lighting companies in smart house applications, according to Director of Marketing Kevin Tang.
Marvell also showcased their latest cloud storage solutions which can be applied in household and commercial lighting LED luminaires. Marvell’s 88EM8189 and 88EM8803 controllers along with wireless technologies increase smart lighting standards. It provides outstanding lighting experience while lowering the cost of LED smart lighting.
The lighting industry is evolving. An increasing number of manufacturers have begun to introduce smart capabilities into lighting fixtures and home applications. Smart applications is the key to sustainable business, and Marvell plans to take full advantage of this growing industry.
