AWARD winning lighting manufacturer, MHA Lighting has been named a finalist in both the Energy Efficiency Initiative of the Year and Innovative Lighting Product of the Year categories, in the prestigious Electrical Industry Awards 2012.
The winners will be announced at a ceremony held on Thursday 25 October 2012, at The Royal Garden Hotel, Kensington, London.
This fantastic double marks MHA’s inaugural entry into the industry-acclaimed Electrical Industry Awards.
Now in their platinum year, The Electrical Industry Awards, run by Purple Media Ltd, recognise those companies that are leading the way in the electrical industry, by highlighting success, talent and innovation.
Tom Harrison, managing director of MHA Lighting, said: "The Electrical Awards are a coveted accolade for companies operating in the electrical industry. Being named a double finalist in these prestigious awards is testimony to the management team's vision, the hard work and dedication of all MHA’s staff and our customer-centric approach."
MHA was named one of ten finalists in the Innovative Lighting Product of the Year category for its revolutionary TiLite solution, which was developed for projects within the NHS, to help trusts future proof their existing buildings against infection control. Not only does the TiLite solution offer up to 80% energy savings and greater sustainability, but it is easy to install and provides 60,000 hours of useful lifetime maintenance free.
MHA secured its place as one of six finalists in the Energy Efficiency Initiative of the Year category, for its innovative P Lite solution, which uses MHA’s unique waveguide technology.
The P Lite delivers clean, bright light to create the highest levels of illumination whilst slashing energy bills and Co2 emissions, making it the perfect solution for external car parks, street lighting, walk ways and perimeter applications.
One such P Lite luminaire project transformed the lighting in Newcastle International Airport’s busy car parks, by installing 472 Perimeter Lights from its P Lite range. To date MHA’s innovative solution have saved the international airport 70% on its car park lighting costs. Going forward, the P Lite installation at the airport’s long stay car park will save approximately 100 T/CO2 per year.
Tom added: “We take great pride in creating pioneering lighting solutions and products that enable organisations spanning all sectors, to achieve significant energy and efficiency savings. We are keen to build on this success, by delivering even greater innovation and customer service going forward.”
MHA’s double-finalist status continues a successful 2012, as MHA were recently named a finalist in the highly regarded Retrofit Awards 2012 and were one of just 25 companies in LUX Magazine’s prestigious PowerList 2012, which saw MHA identified by lighting industry experts as “Lighting pioneers who are revolutionising the lighting industry.”
