Rohm Co Ltd showcased an E26-base LED light bulb and an incandescent-color E11-base LED lamp at Lighting Fair 2011.
The E26-base LED light bulb has a color temperature as low as 2,600K and is being developed to realize "a candle light." Its general color rendering index (Ra) is as high as 95.
The company spreads the light of the bulb in lateral directions by three-dimensionally installing a board embedded with LED chips so that the LED light bulb becomes like a candle in terms of not only color temperature but also the way in which light spreads. The input power is 8W and total luminous flux of the LED light bulb is 300lm. The illuminance of the lamp is 46lx at a point 1m below the lamp.
For the incandescent-color E11-base LED lamp, it is under development, and has the shape of a halogen bulb. It has a color temperature of 3000K, input power of 6w and total luminous flux of 250lm. With an input power of 6W, it can realize the brightness of a normal 40W halogen bulb and has a product life about 13 times longer than that of a halogen bulb.

Rohm will decide whether to commercialize both lamps based on responses from visitors.
