Calibre UK celebrates 25-years in business at ISE 2013

New processors for projection and LED sources to make public debut in Amsterdam

Calibre UK will get 2013 off to a breathtaking start as it celebrates 25 years in business at Integrated Systems Europe. The Yorkshire, UK-based manufacturer of video image-processors continues to go from strength to strength, with a wider product range than ever, available in more territories and through more distribution channels than ever.

“The past 25 years have been tremendous,” enthuses Tim Brooksbank, chairman, Calibre UK. “Our focus on research and development, state-of-the-art engineering and the highest-possible image quality has allowed us to build a presence in more and more markets, and our customer base is growing all the time.

“We are now firmly established worldwide as a leading manufacturer of professional image-processing technology, yet at the same time we feel there is plenty more growth to come.”

Underlining the company’s potential for future growth, Calibre UK will use ISE as the launch platform for a number of new products designed to broaden its offering for the pro-AV and systems integration market.

The Calibre LEDView530 is a highly flexible image scaler and switcher especially developed for driving very large LED screens from video and/or graphics sources. The processor has applications anywhere LED walls are used – from live concerts and corporate events through to outdoor advertising and digital signage. The LEDView530 is proving to be Calibre UK’s most popular product in the rental/staging market with several leading companies in this sector already moving to LEDView530 as their preferred scaler.

Calibre will also debut the HQView530 – which boasts similar capabilities to the LEDView530 but boasts a feature set more suited to multiple projectors – and the HQView325, which combines the performance of the HQView500 series with the added connectivity of the HQView300 series, at an affordable price point.

“Pre-show demand for the HQView325 has been overwhelming and we believe we have another winner on our hands here,” comments Brooksbank. “By offering multi-region black-level correction and management, this four-sided soft edge-blend processor is perfectly suited to applications where multiple projectors are being used in rooms with low ambient light, such as command and control centres, visitor attractions, and simulation and training.”

As well as meeting with its global customer base at ISE, Calibre UK will host a press event at 11:00 on the morning of Wednesday, 30 January, Stand 4-U64 where further details of the new product line-up will be highlighted.

“ISE is always a great platform for new products and, as we continue to diversify from our roots in broadcast into the corporate AV space, the show becomes increasingly important. We’re looking forward to a great three days in Amsterdam – and to another 25 years of expansion!”
