LED TV Shipments to Boost Everlight 2Q Revenue by Double Digits

Everlight’s LED TVs have been very successful lately, according to Infotimes. The company has received orders from new Japanese and Chinese TV clients this year and already began shipments in 1Q14. Mass production will officially start in 2Q14.

Everlight has already seen profitable results on the back of strong LED lighting demand  and successful development of their in house LED lighting brand. Everlight is optimistic 2Q14 performance will remain strong. Performance in 2Q14 has the opportunity to show double-digit growth compared to the previous quarter. Everlight’s LED lighting business is estimated to make up around 30 percent of their overall revenue this year.

Everlight’s fiscal 2013 consolidated revenue reached NT $24.73 billion (US $817.6 million), with operating margin hitting NT $6.18 billion, and NT $2.01 billion for operating income. Earnings before tax were NT $1.93 billion and NT $1.46 billion after tax, with EPS of NT $3.51. The product lines that did the best included backlighting, lighting, and traditional components, said Everlight Chairman, Robert Yeh. Revenue recognition for lighting subsidiary WOFI officially began last August and will continue this year. The company therefore estimates that revenue this year will reach a new high, and also expects higher profits than last year.
