Ledtech Optimistic about Revenue Growth in 2014

Taiwanese LED package manufacturer Ledtech revenue and preliminary profit for January was affected by the shorter Chinese New Year holidays. Consolidated revenue for January only reached NT $137 million (US $4.5 million), a monthly drop of 19.65 percent and YoY decrease of 7.48 percent. January preliminary pre-tax profit was NT $11.6 million, YoY decrease of 32.3 percent and EPS of NT $0.1 (before tax).

The company is optimistic about operations in 2014. Orders received for backlight modules by Chinese household appliance manufacturers in July as well as in the second half of 2013 will act as a driver for revenue in 2014 as the company ships out orders in the first half of the year.

Ledtech remains optimistic in regards to revenue performance for 2014. The company anticipates growth from NT $1.75 billion last year due to new orders from old as well as new clients. For profit performance, as the company has been actively developing low temperature lighting for clients, there is only limited room for growth. However, operational costs can be further reduced and 2014 profits are therefore likely to grow compared to last year’s EPS of NT $1.56 (before tax).
