Lextar to Showcase Mini LED Backlight Module at CES 2020

Taiwan-based LED company Lextar announced that its 17.3-inch Mini LED backlight module will be adopted by notebook brand and will be demonstrated at CES 2020.

Lextar has transformed its business structure by cutting of lighting business and focusing on automotive applications, IR LEDs and Mini/Micro LED since 2018. With the transformation, the company has presented its novel technologies including automotive Mini LED, Mini LED backlight products and Mini LED RGB displays at various international events in the past year.

The Mini LED backlight module by Lextar was showcased earlier this year at Touch Taiwan 2019. The vertical integrated LED company showcased a wide range of Mini LED applications including TVs, monitors, VRs and automotive displays. In addition, it has collaborate with X-Celeprint to exhibit two transparent Micro LED displays.

Featuring high brightness, high contrast as well as low power consumption and lifetime, Mini LED backlight might soon be able to fight against OLED in display technology once the production cost can be further managed.
