TCL Shareholder Meeting Passes OLED Construction Investment Proposal

TCL group has announced “Huaxing Power two first 8.5-genertion TFT-LCD (including oxide semiconductor and AMOLED) production line construction project proposal”was passed during a recent  shareholders’ meeting.


In an earlier company announcement in October, TCL subsidiary Huaxing Power invested RMB $24.4 billion (US $4 billion ) to construct the second phase 8.5-generation TFT-LCD (including oxide semiconductor and AMOLED) production line projects, according to OLED-info.


The project processed glass substrate size 2500mm × 2200mm, design capacity of 100,000 / month, including amorphous silicon semiconductor glass substrate input capacity of 70,000 / month; oxide semiconductor glass substrate input capacity of 30,000 / month (section for the production of OLED TV panels), production capacity will be adjusted based on market conditions and the industrialization process. The project product portfolio will be mostly focused on 23.6 inch, 32 inch, 42 inch, 65 inch ,85-88-inch LCD screens, 55 inch OLED display, and super large public outdoor displays and others.
