Acuity Brands Attains NVLAP Accreditations

Acuity Brands has become one of the first luminaire manufacturers to attain expanded accreditation from the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (“NVLAP”) for testing of LED products for conformance to the Illuminating Engineering Society of North America (“IESNA”) LM-79 standard.

NVLAP is administered by the National Institute of Science and Technology (“NIST”) and evaluates the competence of testing and calibration laboratories.

NVLAP's accreditation programs are established in response to Congressional mandates, administrative actions by the Federal Government, and requests from private-sector organizations and government agencies.
