PSS Manufacturer Aceplux Optotech Raises Capital to Expand Production

Increasing market popularity for Patterned Sapphire Substrate (PSS) has led to Aceplux Optotech to increase capital by NT $297 million (US $9.90 million), according to a Money DJ report.

The company board has approved plans to issue 3,500 shares at NT $85 per share to reach the monthly production capacity target of 0.3 million PCS with 15 production lines.

Aceplux Optotech will be adding three production lines every quarter to meet the target of 15 production lines, and will be introducing automated production technology to raise production capacity to 0.3 million PCS per month.

The company which specializes in PSS processing for the LED industry currently has seven production lines. Its production capacity is relatively flexible for both 2-inch and 4-inch PSS. In 2013, the company established a brand targeting high-end products and has continued to expand production for these products.
