Styron Highlights Performance Plastics at Fakuma

Styron, the global materials company and manufacturer of plastics, latex and rubber, will highlight its Performance Plastics and Styrenics portfolios from October 14 – 18 at the Fakuma international trade fair in Friedrichshafen, Germany. Styron Performance Plastics focuses on the automotive, medical devices, lighting, electrical, and consumer electronics markets through the offering of customized plastics solutions. The company will exhibit at Booth # B5-5206.

Styron is highlighting several new products for its Performance Plastics markets.  Two of the new products are clearly advantaged – EMERGE™ 8830 Advanced Resins, a clear transparency grade for lighting with a UL 94 rating of V-0 rating at 1.0 mm, and EMERGE™ PC/PET 9500 CR Advanced Resins, a high performance chemical resistant material for medical devices, effective against the nine leading chemical antagonists.

Additional products that will be introduced at the show include enhanced MAGNUM™ ABS Resins and PULSE™ PC/ABS Engineering Resins for automotive exterior applications, broadening Styron’s reach in the application area. In addition a grade for powered equipment housings will be highlighted, EMERGE™ PC/ABS 7700 Advanced Resins. 

Styron’s Development Leader from Europe, Mike Hale, will be a featured presenter on Wednesday, October 15 at 16:00 and will address the topic of “Innovative Materials for Consumer Markets.” He will discuss specifically how Styron Performance Plastics addresses the needs of the marketplace and how the company leverages experiences cross-industry.
