Universal Display to Dmonstrate Phosphorescent OLED Technologies at SID Display Week 2016

Universal Display Corporation (Nasdaq: OLED), enabling energy-efficient displays and lighting with its UniversalPHOLED® technology and materials, today announced that it will showcase the Company’s latest advances at the Society for Information Display (SID) Display Week 2016 International Symposium, Seminar and Exhibition being held from May 22-27 in San Francisco, California. At Booth #604 in the Moscone Convention Center, the Company will exhibit its phosphorescent OLED (PHOLED) Color Board from May 24-26. The Color Board demonstrates a selection of UDC’s high-performing, energy-efficient commercial and developmental red, yellow, green, light blue and blue UniversalPHOLED phosphorescent material systems.

“We are enthusiastic about the growing global OLED pipeline, from leading panel manufacturers investing in additional OLED capacity to deliver bright, thin, beautiful, high resolution displays on a broader scale, to OEMs around the world designing OLEDs into a plethora of new concept applications and consumer products,” said Steven V. Abramson, President and Chief Executive Officer of Universal Display. “The evolution of the OLED market has been remarkable with the ongoing proliferation of wearables, mobile phones, IT, and TVs and the establishments of new segments including virtual reality, automotive, and signage. Driven by OLED innovation, we believe novel form factors, such as transparent, rollable and flexible plastic-based products, will open new commercial paths in the display and lighting industries.”

Abramson continued, “Building upon our twenty-plus-years of experience and know-how, we continue to innovate and create the best OLED emissive layer materials and technologies, while also expanding the breadth of our core competencies. Our best-in-class technical experts will be on hand at the UDC booth to meet with SID attendees interested in learning more about our OLED technology and phosphorescent material solutions.”
