VCSEL and 3D Sensing Technology in the Spotlight at Laser Taiwan 2018

Laser Taiwan 2018 launched its opening today (October 17th) and exhibitors from all over the world are participating in the event to showcase their cutting edge technologies and equipment. VCSEL is the focal point of the event following the trend of 3D sensing applications.

This year at Laser Taiwan, a special pavilion focusing on VCSEL was established to connect the VCSEL supply chain, providing a platform for the suppliers and buyers of the industry to exchange knowledge and explore novel applications. HLJ Technology, a Taiwan-based vertically integrated VCSEL manufacturer joined the pavilion and to establish connections with producers of components, modules and product applications in the industry. Equipment suppliers including AIXTRON and Oxford Instruments have set up their booth at the show as well.

Laser Taiwan 2018 also invited experts from the industry and academy to share their perspectives and insights on laser technologies at various conferences during the event. At the conference titled “Innovative Applications and Business Potential of Laser Technologies,” Joanne Wu, Research Manager at LEDinside, shared her views on the latest application trend of infrared sensing. Also, Dr. Hao-Chung Kuo, Professor at Department of Photonics, National Chiao Tung University talked about how VCSEL can be applied in smart manufacturing and sensing.
