OSRAM Opto Semiconductors showcases LED solutions for indoor and outdoor lighting at Russia’s leading LED conference.

OSRAM  emphasises the importance of the Russian LED market by becoming a premium sponsor of the LED FORUM MOSCOW, Russia’s leading expert conference on LEDs in lighting technologies. This year’s LED FORUM MOSCOW takes place at the Expocentre Moscow on November 11th and 12th, 2009. The programme was extended in response to the rising interest in LED applications.

Workshop on indoor and outdoor LED applications

The annual LED lighting solution sales of approx. EUR 52M only mark the beginning of the LED revolution in Russia. Experts expect tremendous growth rates for the Russian LED market. This market is considered an import market. LEDs are a new highly successful trend in Russia. This has convinced OSRAM Opto Semiconductors to become a premium sponsor of the LED FORUM MOSOCW.

LEDs, already widely recognized in automotive and display applications, are quickly entering the solid state lighting market, such as street, tunnel, shop and office fixture lighting. In the workshop “Indoor and Outdoor Lighting” OSRAM OS will demonstrate a street lighting solution designed of light fixture based on OSRAMS outstanding High Power LEDs.

These demos will address the interests and needs of end-users such as corporations looking for a lighting alternative with greater energy efficiency and lighting designers looking at enhancing the overall aesthetics of energy efficient designs.
