DOE Webinar: Higher Learning Spaces on Interior Lighting

On December 10, there will be a 60-minute live webinar to provide information on interior lighting, with a focus on troffers and how new technology can significantly reduce energy use in higher education spaces. Colleges and universities in the U.S. spend around $1.10 per square foot on electricity, with lighting representing 31% of energy usage. The presentation will cover Princeton University's recent lighting and controls upgrades; The University Financing Foundation's assistance to education and research organizations with planning, development, and financing of facilities and equipment at below-market costs; and an overview of the Interior Lighting Campaign.

Webinar presenters will include Andy Mitchell of the U.S. Department of Energy, Michael Myer of Pacific Northwest National Laboratory, William Evans of Princeton University, and Vic Clements of The University Financing Foundation.

The webinar will begin promptly at 2:00 p.m. Eastern and will include a 40-minute presentation and a 20-minute question-and-answer session with attendees. Find out more information and register online.
