Seoul Semiconductor, Seoul Viosys CES 2025 Exhibition Booth
Global optoelectronics leader Seoul Semiconductor and Seoul Viosys (hereafter, "Seoul") participated in CES 2025, held in Las Vegas, USA, from January 7 to 10, 2024. Under the slogan "Paradigm Shift in Light by World First Technology," Seoul unveiled its groundbreaking technologies, highlighting its innovation in light.
At this exhibition, Seoul's 'No-wire MicroLED Car Demo' garnered significant attention. The 6000nit brightness grille displays applied to the front and rear of the vehicle facilitate smooth communication between vehicles, pedestrians, and other cars. Additionally, the expandable large MicroLED display installed inside autonomous vehicles enables passengers to enjoy a variety of activities, highlighting that inorganic MicroLED technology is brighter and significantly extends the lifespan compared to organic-based OLEDs.
Furthermore, Seoul delivered sustainable values through its booth designed with eco-friendly paper materials, receiving strong positive feedback from participants. Visitors described Seoul's booth as an 'exhibition space that considers the environment.'
In addition to the automotive demo, Seoul’s exhibition featured six sections, each presenting a new paradigm of light in different fields:
No-wire MicroLED Display
Seoul's unparalleled "WICOP" technology, featuring a No-wire, has opened a new horizon for MicroLED displays. The RGB single-chip technology delivers excellent color viewing angles and high contrast, leading the evolution of display technology.
Low Blue Light Display
Seoul's Low Blue Light Display reduces blue light by 50%, easing eye fatigue and mitigating sleep disruption. It offers a healthy visual environment and sets a new standard for user-centric display technologies.
Clean & Healthy Light
Violeds technology, which boasts 99.9% virus sterilization capabilities, creates clean and safe environments in daily life and industrial settings. It proves the eco-friendly value of sterilization without mercury.
Automotive: Clean Light, Care Light
Seoul's "Acrich" technology maximizes energy efficiency, while "Violeds" eliminates viruses inside vehicles in just one second. "SunLike" technology reproduces natural light spectra to protect drivers' eye health.
Natural Light
"SunLike" technology replicates natural light spectra, providing the most natural and healthy light for the human eye. It is gaining attention for offering a new direction in the lighting market focused on light quality.
Sensor and Communication
Precision 3D sensing and 25G optical communication technologies have become essential in advanced fields such as robotics, AR, and AI data centers. Seoul demonstrates the potential of next-generation sensor and communication technologies.
HS Park, Vice President of Marketing at Seoul Semiconductor, stated, "The new optoelectronic technologies Seoul presents at CES are not just innovations in light, but will offer a paradigm shift aimed at enhancing the quality of human life. As a global leader in optoelectronics, we will continue to provide future-oriented technological solutions and create greater value for our customers."
