Taiwanese LED Manufacturers Showcase Latest Innovations at Lighting Japan 2016

At Lighting Japan 2016, many Taiwan- based manufacturers were found to be still optimistic of the Japanese market outlook, while some of the participated exhibitors showcased their products at Lighting Japan for the first time this year. Many of the companies were aiming to find new clients or partners. Participating companies include Mean Well Power Supply, 3 Tech Optronics, Genesis Photonics Inc. (GPI), Chun Kuang Optics (CKO), Bueno Optotechnology and GlacialTech. Their latest products were also well received by Japanese and Korean clients.

 

Among all the Taiwanese manufacturers, GPI and CKO had the largest exhibition. GPI mainly showcased its flip chip, CSP LED products and is able to provide customized services.

Meanwhile, CKO projected a promising outlook for the Japanese market. The company has been exhibiting at Japanese expos for a long time, while CKO focuses on lens for high power COB LEDs, which can be applied in commercial and museum lighting applications. The companies supplies to several leading manufacturers across Europe, U.S. and Japan.

 
 

Another eye-catching booth was Taiwan-based Mean Well Power Supply, which for the first time launched water- proof power supply (ELG) product range and surge protection devices (SPD).

For first timer that exhibits at Lighting Japan, 3 Tech Optronics focuses on demonstrating its innovative LED residential light that has an inverted U shape LED, and saves up to 60% of energy compared to conventional lights. The bulb has reduced the need for heat dissipation structures and light bulb casings, which has enhanced its competitiveness.

Other than high bay lights, Bueno Technology also showcases integrated lights “Base Light” and tube light with special angle design.

Viking Tech displayed its thermal dissipation substrate, including DPC and DBC. The company’s DBC products received a lot of attention among participants, since it is the mainstream technology in Japan.

This year GlacialTech showcased thermal dissipation products that also attracted many inquiries from Japanese and Korean clients.

Neotroni Lighting features industrial lighting products, and it’s most eye- catching products are port lighting solutions. The company’s optical lighting solutions enable low wattage products for energy- efficiency, while achieving the desired brightness. Neotroni Lighting has successfully promoted their specialized port lightings at several ports and harbors in Japan.

Ma-Bao Technology upheld a promising outlook in Japan’s smart lighting market, and is to launch related products in the future. This year the company featured its ultra-thin down lights at Lighting Japan 2016.

Gaintronics Technology mainly focuses on outdoor industrial luminaires. Its SON LIGHT, which is more energy- efficient and has a longer lifetime that can be used to replace metal sodium lamps and conventional mercury lamps.

LED light engine products from Solar New Power include 12W and 30W track lights. The 12W model is more popular in the Japanese market because of its compact size and wide applications.

 

WaferPlus and YingLight Technology collaborated at the exhibition this year, showcasing OLED luminaires and high lumen UVA, UVC LEDs and glass- cover for stage lights.
