Stack Lighting Joins "Works with Nest" Developer Program

Stack Lighting, the technology leader behind the world's first responsive lighting solutions, has joined the growing family of products, apps and services in the 'Works with Nest' developer program organized by Nest Labs, Inc. to help drive the conscious home.

Stack's Alba bulbs are the only light bulbs that can automatically adjust to both occupancy and natural, ambient light. Each Alba bulb includes embedded sensors that form a mesh-network throughout the home.

"We are very excited to join the 'Works with Nest' program and work alongside the Nest ecosystem to help homeowners create a seamlessly responsive home," said Neil Joseph, Co-Founder and CEO of Stack. "By connecting into Alba's mesh-network, products and services such as Nest can receive intelligence in-real time about the occupancy and temperature needs of every room, something no other appliance can offer throughout an entire home. Our goal is to integrate this unique data and information with Nest and our partners to help all of our customers enhance their overall comfort, productivity, energy efficiency and well-being inside their homes."

According to the United States Department of Energy, the average U.S. household has more than 40 light bulbs, making it one of the most ubiquitous appliances in any home setting.

The Alba BR30 bulb, the first of many formats to launch, is currently available for pre-order on the Stack website (www.stacklighting.com). Each Alba bulb combines the power of a commercial grade lighting system at a fraction of the price with more functionality and less complexity than any other lighting system on the market today.
