ANSI Accredited Standards Committee C78 Reaffirms Six Lighting Standards

The National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) announced that ANSI Accredited Standards Committee C78 reaffirmed six standards now available for purchase on the NEMA website. 

  • ANSI C78.1460-2004 (R2015) American National Standard for Electric Lamps—Single-Ended Tungsten-Halogen Lamps GZ9.5 Base, T6 Bulb, 36.5mm LCL, 76.2mm MOL with Proximity Reflector is available for download or hard copy for $50. 

  • ANSI C78.LL 1256-2003 (R2008, R2015) American National Standard for Electric Lamps—Procedures for Fluorescent Lamp Sample Preparation and the Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure is available for download or hard copy for $105.

  • ANSI C78.5-2003 (R2008, R2015) American National Standard for Electric Lamps—Specifications for Performance of Self-ballasted Compact Fluorescent Lamps is available for download or hard copy for $50. 

  • ANSI C78.LL 3-2003 (R2008, R2015) American National Standard for Electric Lamps— Procedures for High Intensity Discharge Lamp Sample Preparation and the Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure is available for download or hard copy for $50.

  • ANSI C78.391-2004 (R2009, R2016) American National Standard for Electric Lamps—Characteristics of Subminiature Lamps of T1 and T1-3/4 Shapes is available for download or hard copy for $75.

  • ANSI C78.1401-2004 (R2009, R2016) American National Standard for Electric Lamps—Dimensions for Projection Lamps—Double-Contact, Medium Ring (Special B), Base-up Type is available for download or hard copy for $50.
