LED Canada Announces the Bright Futures Native Community Efficiency Program

LED Canada is pleased to announce the launch of its Bright Futures Native Community Efficiency Program. “LED Canada is founded on the not-just-for-profit community involvement model and the opportunity to contribute nationally to the growth of Canada’s native communities is a perfect fit for our social values," said LED Canada president David Schincariol.

With this program LED Canada works together with native leaders to provide low cost, high efficiency LED lights to native communities across Canada. Not only saving them on energy costs and thus allowing them to direct funding to other programs like improving living conditions, social services and recreation, but the company also contributes 5% of revenue to the community leaders, to invest in innovation and development for local communities.

“What is most amazing, given the cost of electricity and long dark periods in the North, was that the return on investment for these Northern communities to implement our LED solutions, it is by far the fastest payback period in the country, even before government incentives and the LED Canada profit sharing program,” said Rob Huston, Technical Solutions Architect for LED Canada.
