Lite-On Technology Achieved an Increase of 1% in Its Consolidated Sales in May Over Last Month

Lite-On Technology (TW 2301) reported on June 6 that its consolidated revenue in May reached NT$16.49 billion and parent company consolidated sales amounted to NT$10.31 billion, an increase of 1% and 4% respectively over last month. All Strategic Business Groups (SBG) of of Lite-On showed stable order intakes, and cumulative consolidated sales of Lite-On Tech and its parent company from January to May came to NT$79.16 billion and NT$48.18 billion respectively.

Due to the steady increases in the global demand of cloud computing application and mobile devices, Power SBG posted sequential revenue growth, owing to ongoing market share gains in high-end Networking Devices and Server Power Management Systems. Meanwhile, Enclosure also posted a revenue growth of over 20% M-o-M, driven by the smooth delivery of high-end server enclosure products, while HIS (Human Input Solutions-PC keyboards and peripherals) posted a revenue growth of approximate 10% M-o-M, supported by ongoing global market share gains as well as the smooth delivery of tablet keyboards, resulting in a sequential revenue growth of 12% in the Mechanical Competence SBG.

The performance of LED components and Lighting products is remarkable, the annual revenue growth in May is up to 24% , also an increase of 13% over last month, due to substantial demand from branded customers and delivery growth. Revenue from LED lighting components increased approximately 100% over last year. LED Outdoor Lighting business, including street lighting and general illumination, also posted a revenue growth of approximately 70% Y-o-Y, driven by increased demands for energy saving solutions in North America, coupled with the strong delivery of tenders won in Taiwan. Meanwhile, Vehicle LED Lighting products also enjoyed remarkable consecutive growth, resulting from increased market demand, as well as ongoing market share gains in worldwide automotive branded customers.
