Samsung to Launch Flexible-OLED Displays for Galaxy Range

Samsung is reported to release a series of ultra-flexible phones which packed in flexible OLED displays that can be twisted and folded, at some point during 2013.

The company claims this new type of display is lighter, harder to break, and generally superior in every way to current glass-based panels.

The firm is reportedly on the verge of rolling out mass production of the devices after years of speculation.

Samsung’s upcoming flagship, known as the Galaxy S4, which is tipped for a Q2 2013 release, is expected to feature a 5-inch 1080p display based on this new type of screen-tech, although nothing with regards to the handset has been confirmed as yet.
