Camden County located in New Jersey, U.S. plans to save up on energy costs by converting the county’s streetlights to LEDs, according to a report by Courier-Post.

The county recently approved spending $69,000 to convert 84 street lights to more energy efficient LEDs. The new lights will be installed in exterior county facilities and on certain roads in the southern region covered by Atlantic City Electric.

The lights can reduce energy costs by more than $14,100 a year, and return of investments is expected within five years, said county officials.
