DK LED Replaceable Driver System (RDS) Tubes are now DLC Listed

DK LED USA announces today that the groundbreaking DK LED Replaceable Driver System (RDS) Tube Series is now on the DesignLights Consortium (DLC) Qualified Product List (QPL).  The tubes are listed on DLC (www.designlights.org/QPL) under "DKLED" and include the 12 watt, 15 watt, and 18 watt tubes at three color temperatures:  3000K, 4000K, and 5000K.

Utility companies typically use DLC to qualify rebate incentives.  The DK LED tubes are highly cost-effective given that the 12 watt tubes can replace a typical 32 watt fluorescent tube and reduce the electricity consumption by more than 62% for lighting. The added benefit of the utility rebates through this latest DLC listing provides one more reason for property owners and managers to change their fluorescent tubes to the DK LED technology.

The DK LED RDS Advantages:

Replaceable Driver System - With the LED replaceable drivers, these DK LED RDS tubes have significant improvements over internal drivers that are parallel to the printed circuit board or isolated at the end of many LED tubes. If the driver fails, it can be replaced easily in the field without the need for an electrician. Unlike the competition, end uses do not have to discard the whole tube but only the modular driver. Plus, as diode performance in lumens per watt increases, the printed circuit board is also replaceable.

High Efficiency – With over 133 lumens per watt, this replaceable LED driver tube can reach DLC's "Four-Foot Linear Replacement Lamps" category requirement of 1,600 lumens with just 12 watts. The higher watt options for RDS tubes provide additional output for business owners and managers that would like more light in certain applications or less tubes via de-lamping fixtures.

Enhanced Beam Angle – With an elevated printed circuit board within the lens, this DK LED tube increase the spread of light to more closely match the beam angle of fluorescent tubes more so than many of the other more directional LED tubes.
