Revolution Lighting Technologies, a leader in advanced LED lighting technology, announced today that it has been selected to retrofit the headquarters of one of the largest U.S. financial institutions. This program, scheduled for completion on October 31, 2015, will install 72,000 of its Seesmart LED G3 tubes to save $700,000 annually in operating expenses, and achieve a project payback of less than one year.

“We are delighted that one of the largest US financial institutions, and Fortune 500 Company, has chosen Revolution Lighting as its LED lighting retrofit partner,” said Robert V. LaPenta, chairman, CEO and president, Revolution Lighting Technologies. “Incorporation of RVLT’s G3 Seesmart Tube throughout the financial industry reflects the growing confidence in LED lighting, and RVLT’s capability to deliver market leading LED lighting solutions and services through our strong national distribution network. In addition to significant financial benefits, our LED lighting solutions deliver the highest quality lighting standards, addressing visual acuity and nominal light depreciation, to ensure healthy and productive work environments for our clients and their employees.”

The LED lighting retrofit will replace antiquated fluorescent lighting across seven buildings within the institution’s campus, totaling over one million square feet of office space. Addressing office areas with extended lighting use, RVLT will replace 4 foot, 32 watt, florescent tubes with Seesmart G3 LED Tubes, which total only 15 watts, reducing energy use by more than 55%. Superior efficiency of RVLT’s LED tubes is combined with its extended lamp life, three times longer than fluorescent lighting, and an industry-leading, 10-year warranty to significantly reduce ongoing building maintenance costs.

Installation of RVLT’s Seesmart LED tubes, including an additional 250,000 nationally, by this U.S. financial institution is expected to continue through 2016, across four million square feet of its commercial offices. RVLT will continue to work closely with its client to identify and support future LED lighting retrofit opportunities, including among the financial institution’s branch locations, representing 6,500 locations nationally.

RVLT’s DLC-approved and UL rated Seesmart G3 LED tubes offer an easy retrofit solution to reduce lighting energy costs, and are combined with its superior service to support its client’s total project needs including scope development, product specifications, budgeting, incentive procurement and project management. RVLT’s LED lighting solutions continue to support lighting retrofit requirements across industries including commercial, education, industrial, municipal, military, and other market applications.
