Minebea Introduces New Wireless-controlled LEDs to North American Commercial Lighting Market

Minebea Co., Ltd., an innovator of LED technologies, today announced the North American release of its connected LED lighting system, the Smart Adjustable Light for the Internet of Things (SALIOT), at LIGHTFAIR International 2016, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference.

The new LEDs from Minebea combines the company’s best-in-class hybrid lens technology, circuits and motors with Bluetooth communication to put total lighting control in the palm of the operator.(Minebea/LEDinside)

SALIOT combines Minebea’s best-in-class hybrid lens technology, circuits and motors with Bluetooth communication to put total lighting control in the palm of the operator. With a few simple touches to a mobile app, SALIOT customers can adjust:

Movement, with full 360° panning and tilting up to 90°
Distribution angle, from as narrow as 10° to as wide as 30°
Color temperature, from 2700K to 5000K
Dimming, from 0 to 100 percent

By automating an otherwise labor-intensive process, SALIOT enables lighting designers to quickly and efficiently create optimal lighting settings. This unparalleled precision and customization makes SALIOT ideal for commercial applications including retail stores, restaurants, museums and other buildings with frequently changing displays. The product is available in both LED Bluetooth track light and Bluetooth adjustable down light options.

SALIOT demonstrations are available during LIGHTFAIR at the Minebea booth, #7017, located in the Sails Pavilion. SALIOT will also be featured in the Sails Pavilion HUB area during two sessions:

“Meet the New Smart Adjustable Light for the IoT – Revolutionizing the Lighting Industry,” on Tuesday, April 26 at 11:30 a.m.
“How Smart Cities Become Smarter – Sustainable Technology Solutions You Can Implement Right Now,” on Wednesday, April 27 at 2:00 p.m.

“Throughout our 65 years of operation, Minebea has built a reputation for high quality and exceptional performance, and our SALIOT product upholds this tradition of excellence,” said Mr. Yoshihisa Kainuma, Representative Director, President and Chief Executive Officer of Minebea. “We have already demonstrated significant value for SALIOT customers across Asia and are looking forward to setting a new standard for smart commercial lighting in North America.”
