Brightek entered the automotive LED lighting market in 2007, and all its high power LEDs are manufactured in Taiwan, while its low to mid-power LED products are produced in Shenzhen, China. The company is a 10-year veteran on the market and provided clients with many interior and exterior automotive lighting solutions including brake lights, Compound Rear Lights (CRL), Daylight Running Lights (DRL), turn lights, and decorative lights. The company is working closely with clients in R&D and product certification.

Brightek was one of the main LED suppliers to showcase their products at the second edition of International Automotive Lighting Industry Exhibition (IALIE) and the Fourth International Forum on Automotive Lighting (IFAL) that runs from June 17-18, 2016 in China. The company that attended the show also organized the IFAL forum, and the company introduced core technologies of its highly efficient LED package products. In an exclusive interview with LEDinside during the show earlier this month, Brightek CEO and Chairman Chien-chung Huang also shared his experience and perspectives on the automotive lighting market.

“Among the many automotive lighting manufacturers, there were only three automotive LED package manufacturers at the show including Osram, Lumileds and Brightek,” said Huang. “Brightek entered the automotive lighting market in 2007, and has accumulated nearly 10 years of experience in the sector by focusing on developments in this market. The company provides many interior and exterior automotive lighting solutions, including LED taillights, RCL, DRL, turn lights, and interior decorative lights. At the show the company also launched a LED headlight module with a very high market entry level, which can deliver lumen output of 2,000 lm when driven at 1.5 mA, which is scheduled for mass production by 4Q16 and provide comprehensive automotive LED lighting products.”

Brightek accumulated nearly 10-years of experience in LED package technology, the company is a leader especially in the eutectic bonding field. The company also values management. All of its factories are equipped with AEC-Q101 inspection systems, which will be certified by international test labs during third quarter this year. The company will issue certification and licenses to assist clients in related tests. Every Brightek product can be traced down to the type of equipment, kind of material, and employee that made it to simplify adjustments. For clients product quality is utmost important, and they usually trust the automotive LED manufacturers products.

In the automotive lighting market, Huang mentioned even though only three LED component manufacturers attended the show this year, more vendors are expected to join in 2017. Many of the new entrants are Chinese companies that are entering automotive lighting industries, which would intensify automotive lighting market competition. The automotive lighting market is different from general lighting market, where clients are less sensitive to price, but prioritize product quality. Brightek has significant advantages in LED technology and management, due to its accumulated experience over the last 10-years.

At the forum, Brightek R&D Director Ron Su speech topic was “Key Design Factors for the Excellent Automotive LED”, which thoroughly introduced eutectic bonding and advanced material application technology. This is also showcased Brightek’s impressive R&D capacity in LED package field.

At one of the banquets after the show, the company’s Marketing AVP Marvin Lee represented the company in receiving an award of excellence.
