As the integration of AI and wearable devices advances with a strong push from market leaders, global market intelligence firm TrendForce forecasts that global AR glasses shipments will reach a million units in 2026, marking a significant industry milestone. Weight still plays a crucial role in shaping the AR glasses user experience. Therefore, lightweight AR glasses designs will become a key enabler in driving the entire industry toward mass-market adoption and scaling.
Recently, TrendForce had the opportunity to engage in an in-depth discussion with Chuanxue Yin, Co-founder and SVP of Operations at INMO Technology, to gain an understanding of the company’s latest AR glasses offerings and its future roadmap.

Chuanxue Yin, Co-founder and SVP of Operations at INMO Technology
Founded on December 30, 2020, INMO is a dedicated AI+AR smart glasses developer. The company has developed a comprehensive industry value chain supporting software and hardware development, testing, production, and sales, while securing strategic partnerships with industry players across the supply chain. Its founding team comprises former members from Coolpad. Currently focusing on developing cutting-edge technologies, the INMO team is composed of more than 70% of product and technology R&D professionals, bringing extensive expertise in hardware development and mass production from their tenure at leading smartphone companies.
Joining the “Four AR Tigers” with a Strategic Roadmap for Lightweight All-in-One Products
INMO Technology specializes in smart glasses development and has remained unwavering in its commitment to a lightweight and all-in-one design roadmap. To minimize device weight and enable natural-looking builds resembling ordinary glasses, the company has consistently pursued optical waveguide solutions since its inception.
The company has developed an AR glasses portfolio in-house, launching the INMO AIR, INMO GO, and INMO X series. Strategically, the AIR series targets the video entertainment market, the GO series focuses on commercial and office applications, and the X series is tailored to vertical industries such as sports and education.
In the Chinese market, INMO Technology has emerged as one of the “four AR tigers,” leveraging its lightweight and all-in-one design. Currently, the company is accelerating its global deployment, with its products entering the offline retail markets across more than 20 countries and regions.
INMO GO3:Redefining the AI Glasses Aesthetic Design
The INMO GO series has released its third iteration, the INMO GO3. Compared with its predecessors, the INMO GO3 not only features a lighter build but also introduces large-scale performance upgrades.

The INMO GO3 AR glasses from INMO Technology
The INMO GO3 features 8mm slim arms and ultra-narrow, sleek frames, delivering a natural-looking design on par with traditional glasses. Most notably, the INMO engineering team leverages a scientifically-balanced weight-distribution design to reduce the apparent weight of AR glasses, making an actual device weight of 53 grams feel like less than 40 grams for users. This approach brings the vision of wearing the INMO GO3 with day-and-night comfort into reality.
The INMO GO3 implements a single-engine binocular solution, significantly reducing costs while further lowering the device weight. In terms of display technology, this model is equipped with high-brightness LEDoS displays, successfully increasing the near-eye brightness to 1,500 nits.
To eliminate longevity concerns, the INMO GO3 comes with magnetic batteries to provide a sustained power supply in 5 seconds with two user-replaceable batteries, ensuring stable full-day operations. The INMO GO3 delivers a wide range of functionalities, including AI translation, AI navigation, AI prompting, and AI meeting note-taking.
Regarding the future GO iteration directions, INMO Technology said it will further advance the lightweight design approach while rigorously pushing for market price optimizations. Driven by the cost advantages of technological maturity in optical engines and waveguides, AR glasses pricing is expected to maintain a steady downward trajectory, accelerating widespread adoption in the consumer market.
Toward the Future
Through the collaborative efforts across the supply chain, AR glasses are accelerating their evolution toward lightweight design, with market prices set to continue heading downward. Benefiting from the deep empowerment of AI technology, AR application scenarios are becoming increasingly diversified. As the industry reaches a certain stage of development, the emergence of third-party AI operating systems will become inevitable, at which point AR glasses will complete their transformation from "functional tools" to "ecosystem-based terminals."
Looking forward, as an AR glasses hardware brand, INMO said it will push forward with its lightweight design roadmap while establishing a self-sustainable interactive system based on AI operating systems. Leveraging careful optimizations of software and hardware integration, INMO will remain committed to enabling next-generation interactive experiences for its customers, featuring intuitive user control and convenience.
