LED industry will get rid of the dilemma of the downturn
According to LEDinside, back by TrendForce, due to European credit crisis, LED development in European market has slowed down. And it also has influenced Asian LED manufacturers which rely on the external market. As a result, partial manufacturers have seen a slowing increase in Q2 revenue. However, the demand is still in the ascendant, since there is an increasing demand in the specific standard case from the public sector or the power plant. For instance, the designed case number in outdoor LED lighting, building lighting from American, Australian market is rising. The number of LED streetlighting projects in the eastern United States is obviously growing, and Australia also set up its streetlighting project.

Roger Chu, Research Director of Green Energy Division from LEDinside Gave a Presentation for LED Market

What are more, all kinds of subsidies released by China , will greatly promote LED development in the second half of 2012. For example, subsidies on home appliance will accelerate the market to use more energy efficient LED backlighting TV. In addition, subsidies on energy-saving lamps and outdoor lighting standard case will also increase LED lighting demands in China. However, because of the decline of the export orders, many manufacturers rolled into standard case bidding market, making the overall industry profits under more slippery.

Looking to the future LED industry development, a more fierce competition will take place. LEDinside believes that, LED manufactures should improve technical ability and set up patent threshold to survive in the knockout stages.
