LG Showcases 173-inch Micro LED Display and 88-inch 8K OLED TV at IFA

Last week a Korean Media, The Investors, reported that LG would release its first Micro LED TV at the IFA electronics trade show in Germany. The news has been confirmed real as LG unveiled its 173-inch Micro LED display module at the show.

To compete with its rival, Samsung, LG has showcased its new 8K OLED TV and a 173-inch Micro LED display at IFA. The Micro LED display of LG can be customized into different sizes and shape with its modular design. Meanwhile, the 88-inch 8K OLED TV has a resolution of 7680 x 4320 with over 33 million self-emitting pixels to present excellent contrast and wide viewing angles.

However, no further details of the Micro LED displays were disclosed yet. Meanwhile, Samsung has progressed the shipment of its Micro LED TV “The Wall”, according to an earlier report by The Korea Herald in July.
