Asia’s Most Dynamic Lighting Industry Hub Adds New LED Asia Theme Zone to Its Line-up

The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition, Asia’s largest and most comprehensive lighting event to be held 9 –12 June 2011 at the China Import and Export Fair Complex, Guangzhou, China, will include LED Asia, a new and comprehensive theme zone for LED/OLED lighting.

Organised by Guangzhou Guangya Messe Frankfurt Co Ltd, the show is one of the lighting industry’s most influential with its status as Asia’s biggest lighting show and the second largest in the world.

Mr Richard Li, Deputy General Manager of Messe Frankfurt in China said: “For over 15 years the show has continued to be the preferred sourcing destination for thousands of architects, building planners, lighting retailers and wholesalers from around the world.  By bringing together the different lighting sector groups under one roof, we have been playing a dynamic role in the development of lighting industry by offering a full-range high quality platform for presentation and communication. Today’s fastest growing trend is LED/OLED lighting and to support this we have LED Asia which is the largest one-stop LED/OLED platforms in Asia with its five new themes covering the full market spectrum.”

To assist exhibitors target their market and for visitors to easily and efficiently source, the new themes are: 

•    LED/OLED raw material and components
•    LED/OLED driver and power supply
•    LED/OLED packages / modules
•    LED/OLED manufacturing and processing equipment
•    LED/OLED applications (Illumination, display, back light, signs and signals, automobile, etc)

In addition to LED Asia, there is a product-based hall arrangement for effective sourcing with halls for brand names, technical lighting, decorative lighting, and accessories and electronic components.  “As a result of the new zones and product-based hall arrangement, the Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition offers by far the most comprehensive exhibit profile under one roof,” added Mr Li.

The Guangzhou International Lighting Exhibition is held concurrently with Electrical Building Technology Guangzhou which supports the growing trend of eco-friendly buildings with a special focus on electrical engineering and building and home automation.

In 2010, the combined shows attracted more than 2,000 exhibitors in 13 halls covering 130,000 sqm and 71, 801 trade visitors from 117 countries and regions.  Both exhibitions are part of Messe Frankfurt’s architecture and technology shows, headed by the biennial Light+Building event in Frankfurt.
