Everlight and Unity Opto Suffer Decline of 10% in Revenue in June Over Last Month

According to the revenue reports in June each LED plant has announced, due to the impact of slower shipment in mainland China LED backlight market and inventory adjustment, Everlight, Unity Opto and Lextar have suffered decline in revenue over last month, Everlight and Unity Opto decreased 11.82%  and 14.47% respectively.

The consolidated revenue of Everlight in June is 1.892 billion NTD, a monthly decline of 11.82%, an annual growth of 11.49%. Everlight noted that by the expiration of energy subsidy policies in Mainland China at the end of May, the slower shipment in mainland China LED backlight market in June, less working days and inventory check are the major factors affecting the monthly sales declined largely, but utilization rate is still remained at 90%.

Unity Opto said that due to the inventory check in June and coinciding with the expiration of subsidy policy in mainland, LED TV backlight customers slowed up the shipment of goods, and the replacement of old touch tablets with new models in June, the new products will be put into mass production until the third quarter, so the overall performance of backlight products declines, but also makes the consolidated revenues in June to be only 604 million NTD, monthly decrease of 14.47%, annual decline of 15.07%.
