Evolucia and Solarmax Reaches an Agreement for Columbia Market

Due to the 2012 U.S.-Columbia Free Trade Agreement, Evolucia Inc. and Solarmax International have teamed up to bring Evolucia-branded high performance LED interior and exterior lighting solutions to Columbia. Several lighting projects are currently ongoing, including the installation of Evolucia's newest area light, the PAL 1000, in one of the main ports in Columbia. The PAL 1000 was the only LED product to cater for the Port's strict lighting requirements.

"Our number one goal is making the Evolucia famous in the global marketplace, and this latest cooperation with Solarmax for Columbia distribution is a step closer to that goal," said Mel Interiano, CEO of Evolucia.

Solarmax and Evolucia came to a one year exclusive distribution agreement which includes the Republic of Columbia. Solarmax only focused on LED lighting, while now with the addition of the Evolucia product portfolio, Solarmax is able to broaden its line to include exterior lighting solutions. With offices throughout Columbia and a customer base that includes medical, pharmaceutical, military, universities, offices and the public sector, Solarmax is well-positioned to grow Evolucia's brand in the region. It will focus on introducing the Evolucia brand to the Columbian market and educating both the private and public sectors on the benefits of LED lighting including energy and maintenance savings and return on investment.

Evolucia has recently completed Asian, European and Australian partnership agreements, and completed a joint marketing agreement with a global lighting brand in Mexico. "Evolucia has experienced a tremendous growth throughout the world this year. Our cooperation with Solarmax expands the wider international market for us. This partnership also allows us to introduce our portfolio throughout the rest of South America," said Carol Gutierrez, VP Global Strategies, Evolucia.
