Capital Colour Installs RMGT 9 Series Press

Capital Colour, a full-service printing company based in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada invested in an RMGT 9 series press manufactured by RYOBI MHI Graphic Technology (RMGT) and purchased through Canadian distributor KBR Graphics. Since its recent installation, the company has already begun to see major advantages and gains. Capital Colour purchased an RMGT 920ST5+LED+CUV 5-color sheetfed offset press with both Panasonic LED UV instant ink curing and Grafix HiCure UV coating systems. The press is the first of its kind installed in Western Canada running with both LED UV ink curing and HiCure UV coating systems.

Epistar Accelerates R&D of Micro-LED

Epistar on 21st June announced its financial results, reporting a fully utilized capacity of blue LED as well as a sustained production of AlInGaP LED despite subtle growth in both the output of light sources and the orders for LED backlighting and little possibility to raise prices of its products. The company estimated a 15% QoQ rise that could possibly push up 2Q17’s revenue close to the number in 2Q16. Epistar also expected a decent financial performance in 3Q17 supported by the chip production for LED lighting, AlInGaP LED and infrared LED.

Zumtobel Group opens showroom in Malmö

On 13 June 2017 the Zumtobel Group opened the first showroom displaying the international lighting group’s entire product range. In collaboration with the Norwegian architecture firm Snøhetta, the Zumtobel Group has created a space over approximately 250 square metres in which light can be experienced in all its diverse areas of application. The display is located in the Swedish city of Malmö, which is already home to Zumtobel Group’s main sales office for the Nordic region.
