According to the statistics of global automobile marketing region in 2016, China took up 28% of global sales volume, with the highest growth in regional markets.

In the original equipment market, the growth of high/low beam in automotive LED lighting is stunning. The LED penetration rate in the exterior automotive lighting market is growing steadily. Among the various exterior automotive lighting applications, high/low beam headlamps are seeing the strongest growth, because of technological improvements of high-power LEDs and the general price decline in LEDs, making exterior automotive LED lighting expand across market segments from the high-end vehicle models to the mid-range. The global market value of high/low beam LED application is projected to increase at a CAGR of 15.8% from 2016 to 2020, coming to USD 1.462 billion at the end of the forecast period.

Meanwhile, due to the increase of car market scale, after market has experienced a positive growth. The rules of aftermarket focus on reasonable price and simplicity for repairing. Exchangeable LED headlamp will have these advantages. The same product dimension and connector between exchangeable LED headlamp and traditional light source will stimulate the willingness to change into LED headlamp. The market value of exchangeable headlamp LED in 2017 was USD 338 million and in 2020 will become USD 369 million, with the CAGR of 2016-2020 at 10%.

Furthermore, demand on automotive panels such as CID, HUD, navigator, infotainment display and cluster grew rapidly. The automotive panel LED market value is expected to grow from USD 42 million in 2017 to USD 87 million in 2020, with the CAGR of 2016-2020 at 25%. The percentage of standard equipment adopting automotive panels for global new cars in 2017 has reached 13% and is expected to be 18% in 2020.
